RUMOR WIRE – James Beard Award-winning Chef Alon Shaya’s Pizza Domenica is in the works for H-Town. Shaya is currently scoping out locations in both Nashville and Houston for outposts of his acclaimed pizza spot, which won Eater’s Restaurant of the Year award last year. A rep for Shaya says that no leases have been signed just yet. [Eater]

MONTROSE – Austin’s Ramen Tatsu-Ya could be on its way to Houston. Executive chef and owner Tatsu Aikawa has purchased property at 1714 California Street in Montrose, though no one from Ramen Tatsu-Ya has confirmed or denied whether or not this will be a new outpost of the beloved ramen shop or an entirely different concept. [CultureMap]

RICE VILLAGE – TeaBar and Organics will open its fourth location on Saturday March 26 in Rice Village. The new spot will host a grand opening party from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m., featuring a lion dance at noon and free drinks for a year for the first 88 customers in the door. [Houston Press]
