Eater is pleased to announce that Amy McCarthy is the new editor of Eater Houston, effective immediately. A Louisiana native, prolific writer, and cocktail lover, Amy's byline has appeared everywhere from Cosmopolitan and TIME to Playboy, Texas Observer, and VICE.
Never afraid of hard-hitting subject matter, Amy has also written several Eater.com features, and counting: from an exploration of immigration screenings to a summary of Texas restaurants' responses to the new open carry law to a deep dive on Happy Meal toys. Amy also covers music for the Houston Press. And, in her spare time, she runs Eater Dallas.
