San Antonio-based restaurant and bar The General Public is expanding to CityCentre in Houston. Restaurant group FreeRange Concepts announced the project on Tuesday. In addition to The General Public, FreeRange broke ground on a restaurant, bar, and bowling alley — Bowl & Barrel — in the same area last month.

A rep for The General Public tells Eater that the Houston eatery will look very similar to the original location. Plans call for a horseshoe bar and a craft cocktail program paired with "upscale" food. The San Antonio location's menu boasts burgers, fish & chips, and wagyu steak and blue cheese sandwiches. The owners are aiming for late June opening. Stay tuned.
