Already a Houston institution since 1999, Kenny & Ziggy’s New York Delicatessen is growing. Next week, the restaurant’s second outpost in seventeen years will kick open the doors in West University.

Announced via release, Kenny & Ziggy’s has set up shop at 5172 Buffalo Speedway with plans to open its doors on Monday, May 2. If you’re craving a giant triple-decker sandwich, nobody’s going to judge you if you camp out on Sunday night.

The menu will feature classic Ziggy’s fare, including more than 90% of the dishes available at the original location on Post Oak Boulevard. Regulars, have no fear: Luck Be A Latke, Beauty and the Beef, and Fiddler on the Roof of Your Mouth will all be on offer.

Similar to New York delis, the new restaurant will seat 110 people indoors, and most notably, plans are in the works to add 40 additional seats on an outdoor patio. Inside, you’ll find the familiar NYC-themed decor and celebrity caricatures, along with an updated digital menu board that’s easy to read.

Kenny & Ziggy’s begins serving breakfast at 7 a.m. on Monday, so try to get in a few veggies this weekend before your all-pastrami diet begins next week.
