Check In On The Progress At Harold's Tap Room, Coming Soon To The Heights

A new bar is the best possible use of extra space.

Unlike some cramped concepts, Harold’s Restaurant & Bar has plenty of room to work with. Earlier this month, Harold’s owner Alli Jarrett announced plans to add a 1,300 square-foot bar called Harold’s Tap Room to the restaurant, and construction on the new space has since been underway.

Harold’s Tap Room will offer a street-level entrance into the restaurant, along with a brand new space to sip wine, craft beer, and cocktails spiked with Texas spirits. Chef Antoine Ware will develop a menu of Southern-inspired “light bites.” The expansion adds about 50 new seats to the restaurant, both indoors and out.

The newly-revamped space is expected to open in summer 2016 if all goes to plan, and workers have been busy pouring new concrete and laying pipes for the space. Scope out photos of the progress above.
