The Conservatory, Houston’s first food hall, is inching closer to an opening date. Today, two eateries from the “underground beer garden and food hall” situated just underneath Prohibition Supperclub & Bar will soft-open, paving the way for a full opening in the coming weeks.

On Instagram, Myth Kafe announced that the restaurant would begin serving lunch today. The concept has used the social platform to tease their Greek cuisine – like Christmas cookies and soudzoukakia kai macaronia (Greek meatballs) – for the past several weeks. Now, you can pop into The Conservatory and snag your first taste for lunch today.

A call to The Conservatory also revealed that Melange Creperie, the Parisian-style thin pancake purveyor, will be testing out some new menu items in the space today. They’ll be serving a private group, but should you swing by Myth Kafe for lunch, you could always snag a look at the new spot. The space will be open from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. today, but no word yet on whether or not those soft-opening hours will continue all week.

No opening timeline has yet been announced for The Conservatory’s three additional restaurant concepts, most notably El Burro & The Bull, a “comida Texicana” from pitmaster John Avila, formerly of The Pit Room and (most importantly) Franklin’s BBQ. Also in the works are Samurai Noodle and Southside Espresso. Stay tuned for more details on The Conservatory’s official launch.
