In today’s dose of as-yet-unconfirmed food news, one of Houston’s favorite ramen establishments is preparing to expand. Jinya Ramen, which currently operates two restaurants in Houston, appears to have two brand new outposts of the popular noodle shop in the works.

According to posts from a top-secret Facebook group for noodle enthusiasts, look forward to outposts opening in Katy and Sugar Land in the coming months. The posts, which include renderings of the Katy location, come from Jim Wang, Jinya Ramen’s Houston franchise owner.

The Katy location will open at Mason Creek Corporate, a mixed-use business park with hotels, retail, and (of course) restaurants. The Sugar Land location is planned for a spot (formerly World of Beer) adjacent to The Cheesecake Factory at First Colony Mall. In his posts, Wang says that the Sugar Land location will also be the chain’s largest in Houston, clocking in at 3,700 square feet.

No word yet on any opening timeframe for these two new locations, but one thing is clear: the ramen boom is officially at its peak in Houston.
