Diners in River Oaks will only have to wait a few more weeks for the arrival of Steak 48, the sister concept to Phoenix’s Steak 44. In the meantime, though, diners can prepare themselves for modern takes on steakhouse classics from the restaurant’s newly-announced chef.

Announced via press release, Chef Jeff Taylor will lead the kitchen at Steak 48, where he’ll be in charge of managing culinary production and operations at the restaurant. Taylor comes to the concept with more than 20 years of restaurant experience, 10 of which were served as executive chef at Del Frisco’s Grille in Houston. According to the release, Taylor is also a skilled butcher.

No concrete opening date has yet been announced for Steak 48, but expect for it to arrive sometime around mid-June.
