For those that have been biding their time for the arrival of much-anticipated Korean chicken wing chain Bonchon, the wait is officially over.

According to a post to Bonchon’s Facebook page, the Katy outpost of the restaurant has officially opened its doors. The official opening date was originally slated for May 26 – a.k.a. today –  but some diners were able to stop by for a sneak peek of the spot yesterday.

In addition to their crispy and spicy Korean fried chicken wings, Bonchon has plenty more to offer. Try the takoyaki, or deep-fried octopus dumplings drizzled with okonomiyaki sauce and topped with a sprinkling of bonito flakes. For something a bit lighter, the Bulgogi beef wrap with lettuce, avocado, and buttermilk ranch is a killer lunch option.

This is Bonchon’s first foray into the Houston market, but not its last. Earlier this year, Eater reported that the chain is also planning to open an outpost in Pearland’s Town Center. The chain wasn’t so successful in Dallas, where it made its first Texas foray in 2014. The restaurant shuttered just seven months later.

Bonchon will be open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on the weekdays, and will stay open until midnight on Friday and Saturday. For those that live out in the ‘burbs, the arrival of a solid late-night dining option comes none too soon.
