Writer Phaedra Cook steps up from the position of lead food critic for the Houston Press to become the food editor. The publication explains that Cook will lead the food coverage and will stop reviews — which means, the critic positions at Houston Press are now open. Cook starts her new position on May 31.

The publication urges all would-be food reviewers to email Editor-in-Chief Margaret Downing with pitches.
