Jerry Built Homegrown Burgers has long been a favorite spot for Houstonians to satiate their cravings for an excellent burger. Now, they'll bring those antibiotic-free beef patties served atop housemade bread, fresh-cut fries, and handspun milkshakes to a brand new location in Memorial City.
Construction is underway at Jerry Built's third Houston outpost, which hopes to open its doors on May 20. The Memorial City location is the smallest of all the Jerry Built locations, tucked into a neat 3,600 square feet. A total of 84 seats will offer indoor seating, in addition to a 32-seat patio for dining al fresco.
The new location will feature familiar design elements, including their trademark glass walls that showcase what's going on inside the kitchen. Even little ones will be able to view the goings on behind the wall thanks to a specially-designed porthole just for pint-sized diners. Jerry Built's signature chalk walls, which diners can decorate themselves, will also be a fixture of the space.
Jerry Built Director of Operations Carly Brooks tells Eater that the company has been trying to get space in the area for two years. "We wanted to still feel like we’re part of the neighborhood and part of the community but we wanted people that are commuting to work or having a quick lunch break to be able to get here quickly," she said. "We wanted to be accessible to everybody."
