The po’boy is decidedly a superior sandwich, and Antone’s has long been serving up one of Houston’s finest. Over the past several years, though, there hasn’t been exactly a ton of innovation from the brand, but that will all soon change as Antone’s eyes the future with big plans for expansion.
The Houston Chronicle reports that Antone’s Famous Po’Boys will open two locations in the coming months. First up is a grab-and-go kiosk at 5 Greenway Plaza’s food court that will serve-up four different Antone’s po’boys in addition to salads and snacks. A location at 18006 Park Row Drive is also in the works, which is expected to open by early next year.
But it is the kiosk that will perhaps be Antone’s future. A kiosk is already in the works for the downtown tunnels, and as many as 10 of the quick-service stands could be operational by the end of next year.
Stay tuned for more details on this classic Houston eatery’s evolution.
