Strap on your fancy bowling shoes, H-Town – boutique bowling alley/restaurant Bowl & Barrel will officially make its Houston debut next week.
Originally scheduled to open in June, Bowl & Barrel will kick open the doors at 797 Sorella Ct. in the CityCentre development on July 18. The "Barrel" in the name refers to Bowl & Barrel’s restaurant, where you can order up snacks, pizzas, and a selection of small plate
Appetizers include hot fried quail, a take on Nashville hot chicken dredged in cayenne-spiked chickpea flour and served with ranch. Margherita, pepperoni, and mushroom pizzas are available in an 18" size perfect for sharing with your bowling posse.
The booze also flows at Bowl & Barrel. Choose from an easygoing selection of classic cocktails – margaritas, Moscow Mules, and the like –in addition to a beer on tap and a short list of wines by the glass.
According to Bowl & Barrel’s website, the hot new hybrid will be open from 12 p.m. to 12 a.m. Sunday through Thursday, and will stay open until 2 a.m. on Friday & Saturdays, adding a new late-night option to the area.
