Chef Ryan Hildebrand has already earned the stamp of approval from Houston diners and First Lady Michelle Obama alike, and now he plans to take on a decidedly more casual dish – burgers.
Announced via release, Hildebrand will open FM Burger at 1112 Shepherd Road. The name hints at FM 903, the farm-to-table concept that the chef was developing in 2013 and 2014, which never got off the ground. The second concept from Hildebrand, FM Burger is decidedly more casual than Triniti – think milkshakes and tater tots instead of foie gras and duck a l’ orange.
But of course, you can still expect for these burgers to be cheffy. The concept will use a proprietary blend of chuck, sirloin, and brisket for its "premium" patty. Those patties will be topped with Fritos chili pie, sauced like Salisbury steak, and topped with cheese and bacon. In addition to burgers, you’ll also find griddled PB&J, a chicken pot pie sandwich, and scratch-made individual pies.
FM Burger is currently slated for a Fall 2016 opening. In the meantime, you can try a sneak peek of the burger at Triniti during Happy Hour.
