Love Buzz Brings Pizza & ‘90s Inspired Vibe To Montrose

Spanish Kool-Aid, anyone?

This slice is definitely nice.

Montrose continues to be the city’s hottest spot for new restaurant openings, and the arrival of a kitschy new bar-slash-pizzeria (with plenty of bizarre decor) only keeps the trend going.

The Houston Chronicle reports that Love Buzz will open at 408 Westheimer in the coming days. Back in 2014, Eater Houston reported that Brandon Young of Moon Tower Inn and VoodooQueen was planning a concept for the space, and now we’ve finally got some more clarity on exactly what it will look like.

According to the Chronicle’s Craig Hlavaty, Love Buzz will host Matt Marcus and Edgar Gomez’s Nice Slice pizza chain, expected to expand across Houston in the coming months. The bar will eventually be home to a pick-up windows where starving diners can score pies even when the bar is closed.

Where the pizza is concerned, cheekily named pies, like the Red Eyed Jedi topped with provolone, mozzarella, and fresh basil, will be on offer. Also available will be a small selection of cocktails including a few martinis and Spanish Kool-Aid, a mix of red wine and Coca-Cola.

Love Buzz is expected to debut by "the middle of next week." Stay tuned for an official opening date.
