If you live near CityCentre, get prepared for a brand new neighborhood spot. This week, The General Public will officially make its Houston debut.

Announced via release, The General Public will kick open the doors on Friday, August 12. Describing itself as an "upscale, spirited restaurant and bar" with a "gourmet menu," the spot will bring a more refined approach gastropub fare to the swanky mixed use development.

As far as the food is concerned, look forward to plates like tamale pie, crispy quail & hotcakes, and burrata served atop pistachio toast. Cocktails are (of course) on offer, in addition to a selection of beer, wine, and whiskeys.

Ahead of the grand opening on Friday, scope out the menu for The General Public. The spot will be open Sunday-Thursday from 11 a.m. to midnight, and Friday-Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m.
