It’s been a busy summer in Houston, especially where delicious desserts and frozen treats are concerned. Now, Frios Gourmet Pops has thrown their flash-frozen hats into the dessert ring with a new outpost in the suburbs.
A tipster alerted Eater that Frios Gourmet Pops had quietly opened its doors at 18318 University Blvd. in Sugar Land over the weekend. The chain, known for its focus on hyper-fresh ingredients and fun flavor profiles, got its start in Alabama in 2013, and has rapidly expanded throughout the south.
As far as the popsicles are concerned, you can look forward to creamy (birthday cake, chocolate, Cap’n Crunch) and fruity (blueberry lemonade, orange zest) flavors to occupy the grab-and-go cases.
The Sugar Land outpost is the first of two planned Houston-area outposts, and the first in Texas. A second outpost is expected to land in Katy in the coming weeks, along with a Galveston location that opened earlier this summer. with the second expected to land in Katy in the coming weeks. The chain also opened a location in Galveston over the summer.
