What could be better than cats & coffee?

In June, news came that Houston (proper) would be getting its very first cat cafe. Now that we’re (hopefully) just a few short months away from being able to hang out with cats while enjoying coffee, El Gato Coffeehouse will introduce itself to Houstonians next week.

To build hype for her forthcoming concept, El Gato Coffeehouse founder Renee Reed will host her first pop-up party. You won’t be able to get a peek at the cat-themed space just yet, but the pop-up at Sharespace will allow you to taste the coffee & pastries that will be on offer and, of course, hang out with plenty of of adoptable cats.

Hosted in conjunction with the Houston Humane Society, El Gato Coffeehouse’s pop-up party will be held on Sunday, August 14 from 7:30 p.m. until 10 p.m at Sharespace. Tickets are currently sold out, but more may be released in the coming days.
