Details: Danny Meyer’s ridiculously popular NYC-based burger chain is making a major push into Texas this year, and the Galleria outpost of Shake Shack is the first of two Houston-area locations planned for the coming months. Expect for folks to line up when this much-anticipated chain finally makes its Houston debut.

Details: Earlier this month, Relish Fine Foods shuttered to make way for this full-service counterpart in River Oaks. During the day, the restaurant will serve sandwiches and dishes like eggs benedict from a counter, and at night the spot will offer shareable "simply prepared proteins" and sides.

Described as a "neighborhood American bistro," Eloise Nichols Grill & Liquors will serve classic Texas-inspired dishes made with locally-grown produce and (of course) Gulf seafood.

Details: Making a big departure from his fine dining history at Triniti, Chef Ryan Hildebrand will tackle burgers with this farm-to-table concept. The burgers will be made with a proprietary beef blend and topped with everything from Fritos chili pie to your basic bacon & cheese. (Pro-tip: you can scope out the FM Burger at Triniti during happy hour)

Details: Houston’s first Australian-style brewpub will feature house-brewed beers and a menu of locally-inspired dishes. Award-winning brewer Kerry Embertson, formerly of Eureka, CA’s Lost Coast Brewery, will lead the beer program, but no chef has been announced just yet.

Details: This Newport Beach-based restaurant is making its first foray outside California in a big way — all key staff (including the restaurant’s owner and executive chef) are moving to Houston to open the second Bosscat Kitchen & Libations. In addition to casual local fare, you’ll also be able to blend and age your own cocktails in the adjacent "mini-rickhouse."

Details: Back in June, this Houston favorite packed its bags to move to a location that would be more amenable to allowing Kitchen 713 to serve booze. The new concept will allow "the full expression of Kitchen 713’s uniquely syncretic vision." What that means exactly is TBD, but you can expect for that most-excellent fried chicken to make an appearance.

Details: After stints at Underbelly and Reef, Chef Ryan Lachaine is oening his first restaurant, a sixty-five seat stunner that will serve tapas-style fare and shareable "large format" entrees. Construction is currently underway on the space, which will feature a 10-seat bar and cozy chef’s counter.
