The Halal Guys Have Two New Houston Outposts In The Works

More chicken and rice is always a good thing

When The Halal Guys opened earlier this year, Houston was clearly excited. The lines were epically long, the white sauce was in short supply, and folks were just generally enthused about the arrival of NYC’s beloved food cart. Now, there’s double — or perhaps more! — the chicken and rice to get excited about.

Announced via the chain’s Instagram account, The Halal Guys will open their second Houston outpost at 10111 Louetta Road at Vintage Marketplace. The chain has been expanding rapidly throughout Texas over the past year — one location opened in Dallas this summer and another is on the way, and Austin is expecting The Halal Guys to arrive in the coming months.

The expansion will also continue in Space City. Last year, QSR reported that the chain will open fifteen restaurants between Austin and Houston, including an outpost at George Bush Intercontinental Airport. Presumably, the Northwest Houston outpost will land before The Halal Guys’ arrival at IAH.

No official timeline for opening The Halal Guys’ Louetta location has yet been announced, so you’ll want to stay tuned to your Instagram feed if you’re dying for a taste of chicken & rice if you’re too far away from Upper Kirby.
