After opening in Austin and Dallas, NYC’s favorite burger chain Shake Shack is finally on its way to Houston. The first official outpost doesn’t open for a while, but next month, you’ll be able to get your first taste of those famous burgers in an unlikely spot.
On October 16, The Pass & Provisions will host a Shake Shack pop-up where you’ll be able to try the city’s buzziest newcomer before the doors even open. The pop-up comes after Shake Shack culinary director Mark Rosati made a visit to H-Town, and dined at Provisions, where former Danny Meyer employee Terrence Gallivan works as a chef.
At the pop-up, you’ll be able to order up a ShackBurger and crinkle cut fries alongside Provisions’ wood-fired pizzas and soft-serve ice cream, but you’ll have to wait a while to try their house-churned custards. 8th Wonder Brewery and Saint Arnold’s will provide the booze.
Shake Shack is still on track for a “Fall 2016” opening, though no concrete details on an official opening date have been made public just yet.
