One Of Houston’s Favorite Bartenders Has Found A New Home

You may not recognize her name, but Leslie Krockenberger is no newcomer.

Meet Leslie Krockenberger, though you likely already have.

Earlier this month, news that Houston bar whiz Leslie Ross was leaving Canard, the spanking-new cocktail lounge she opened over the summer, came a bit unexpectedly. At the time, Ross said she wouldn’t be gone for long, and now it appears as if she’s made good on that promise.

It’s been a summer of big changes, in fact. Recently married, a press release announces that she’ll now be known by her married name, Leslie Krockenberger. Even more excitingly, the release notes that Krockenberger will join the staff at Moving Sidewalk, one of Eater Houston’s essential cocktail bars.

“We couldn't be happier to have her join the team. Her creativity, her intensity, attention to detail, ability to think outside of the box—hell, even her tattoos!— fits right in,” said Moving Sidewalk owner Alex Gregg in a statement. “We all have so much to learn from each other. We've always joked about how cool it would be to get to work together and now we finally have the chance. The Moving Sidewalk team is stoked!”

In the coming weeks, Krockenberger will work with Moving Sidewalk staff to develop the bar’s fall & winter menus. In the meantime, you can stop by and see Ross for an always-expertly mixed drink.
