Back in June, devoted fans of popular Houston eatery Kitchen 713 were saddened to learn that the restaurant would close its doors. Fortunately, the closure was only temporary as Kitchen 713’s owners looked for a new, more appropriate home for the restaurant. Now, they’ve found it.
Perhaps more importantly, they’ve also found a spot where they’ll be able to serve booze. A statement provided to Eater by Kitchen 713 announces that the restaurant will land at 4601 Washington Ave, which means that the arrival of a craft cocktail bar is nigh.
Scope out the full statement below:
Finally, after wandering the desert of a Houston summer, we are very happy to announce that Kitchen 713 has found home. Our new location will be at 4601 Washington Avenue, Suite 130. With a bar as winding as our journey, we will finally be able to serve chef designed cocktails along with a full bar. Please be on the lookout for further announcements on new menu items, cocktails, the craft beer lineup, and finally, the grand opening. See you soon.
For folks that are seriously missing Kitchen 713’s fare, owners Ross Coleman and James Haywood have teamed up with Red Dessert Dive to host a pop-up dinner tonight. $65 gets you five courses, and you can pair with selected beers for just $15 more. Score your tickets here.
No word yet on when Kitchen 713 will be ready to open its doors again, but it’s nice to know they’re making progress.
