Fans of fancy Houston dining institution Masraff’s, take note — the minds behind this swanky spot are planning a spanking new addition to the city’s culinary scene.

The Houston Business Journal reports that Masraff’s will open a brand new restaurant called Maclane’s Cafe at 1753 Post Oak Blvd. Thai restaurant Nit Noi is currently operating in the space with plans to hand over the lease to the Masraffs on December 1. According to its owners, renovations will be made on the space, including the addition of a 500 square foot patio.

The concept is named after the younger Masraff’s daughter Maclane, and will serve “soups, salads, and sandwiches,” though no menu has been finalized just yet. Maclane’s Cafe also plans to add a heavy-hitter to Houston’s competitive burger scene, in addition to a selection of wines, fish tacos, and fried chicken.

Maclane’s Cafe is being built with expansion in mind. “This is a pilot," Masraff told the Houston Business Journal. "Hopefully this leads to a Maclane’s No. 2 or 3.”

Look for the concept to debut “around March 2017.”
