Southern Smoke Returns With A Massive Line-Up Of BBQ’s Heaviest Hitters

Tickets for the annual fundraiser go on sale Monday

Mmmm, brisket.

It’s not as if you really need much of an excuse to enjoy copious amounts of smoked meats, but the addition of a charity component certainly doesn’t hurt. If you like doing good while shoving brisket into your face, you’ll want to snag tickets to Southern Smoke.

2016 marks Southern Smoke’s second year. A project of Underbelly’s Chris Shepherd and the rest of the HOUBBQ collective, the event was founded to raise money for the MS Society in honor of Shepherd’s friend and former somm Antonio Gianola, who was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2014.

This year’s line-up is positively packed with Texas’ best pitmasters, including Austin’s Aaron Franklin, New Orleans’ Chef Ryan Prewitt, and of course, your faves from HOUBBQ serving up everything from brisket (duh) to beer can chicken and a whole hog roast.

Tickets to the November 6 shindig go on sale Monday, and you’ll probably want to snag yours quickly.
