As part of the revitalization of the neighborhood east of Downtown Houston, a major new development called East Village will bring a bounty of new restaurant concepts to Houston. Chief among them is a Dallas institution that marries cocktails, outdoor space, and food trucks.

The Houston Business Journal reports that Truck Yard, an “adult playground” and mini food truck park, will be one of four major restaurant concepts that will make its debut at the forthcoming East Village development. Truck Yard joins Fort Worth’s Rodeo Goat, a cheeky burger concept, along with a new poké restaurant called Poku Poke, and a “multiconcept” from the minds behind Eight Row Flint and Coltivare.

In Dallas, Truck Yard is a good weather destination thanks to its large outdoor space packed with picnic tables. There’s also a treehouse bar at the Dallas outpost, but no word yet on whether or not that will make its way to Houston. As far as food is concerned, look for some of the city’s best food trucks to make Truck Yard their home, along with the bar’s excellent cheesesteaks.

No word yet on when exactly all these concepts will make their debut, but either way, for folks working and playing near Downtown, the growth of EaDo is pretty damn exciting.
