This weekend, Houston’s bar scene will get a little glitzier as Midtown cocktail bar Rose Gold makes its official debut.
Starting tonight, Rose Gold will begin slinging drinks in its plushy, upscale cocktail lounge at 2301 Main in the space that formerly housed Tarakaan. The bar is a project from the minds behind Bovine & Barley and The Refinery, and describes itself as “Houston’s sexiest cocktail bar and lounge,” and as CultureMap reports, will serve up a menu of libations crafted by house bartenders Ben Baxter and Luis Vallegas.
As far as what you should expect from Rose Gold’s menu, look forward to a dozen craft cocktails on draft, which means that you’ll be able to enjoy a well-crafted drink without having to wait forever for the bartender to sprinkle on tinctures or whip up foams. You’ll also find a selection of classic cocktails and a menu of “small bites.”
The bar will kick off the grand opening festivities at 8 p.m. If you’re worried about where to park in Midtown, the bar will offer both valet and soft parking, but “highly recommends” taking a cab or an Uber. Which is probably advisable after downing a few of those Texas-sized Singapore Slings.
