Tonight, when Chef Ryan LaChaine opens his highly anticipated concept Riel, guests have much to look forward to. The 2012 Eater Young Gun’s concept has landed on “most anticipated” lists across the country, and a first glimpse at the concept indicates that LaChaine has more than lived up to the hype.
Upon entering the restaurant, you’ll be greeted by visuals of casual elegance matched only by the cuisine on their plates. Expect clean lines punctuated by antique glass, wood, and cotton – the latter of which LaChaine chose because he liked how the texture complemented the modern lines of the rest of the space.
Though the final menu is still in development, look for dishes like red snapper with ham brood, crowder peas, and dandelion greens, brick chicken with winter squash and roasted mushrooms or tempura cauliflower with kimchi hot sauce. Drinks run the gamut from red and white wine, craft brews and signature cocktails like the Maple Old Fashioned and Jalisco Holiday.
