Since making its debut in Houston, Cane Rosso has racked up the awards as one of the city’s hottest new spots for a slice of pie. But come this weekend, the restaurant will become home to one of the country’s best burgers — and fried chicken sandwiches — for one night only.

Announced via release, Cane Rosso is bringing Matthew and Emily Hyland of much-beloved Brooklyn restaurants Emily and Emmy Squared. If you’re not familiar with two of NYC’s hottest restaurants, the spots have earned acclaim across the country for their Detroit-style pizza and decadent burger from the likes of Bon Appetit, and Eater, along with countless people on Instagram.

Sadly, the Hylands won’t be serving up their Detroit-style pie, but you’ll be able to drown those sorrows in the ridiculous-looking Emmy burger, made with a dry-aged beef patty, aged Vermont cheddar, and a healthy slather of secret “Emmy sauce.” The restaurants’ spicy chicken sandwich will also be on offer during the pop-up, which means that you should probably just order both.

The Emily + Emmy Squared pop-up will hit Cane Rosso’s Montrose location on January 12 after stops at the restaurant’s outposts in Dallas and Austin.
