Details are scarce for now, but it looks like the beer junkies at 8th Wonder Brewing are plotting an expansion into the spirits business.

Via a Facebook post and Twitter, the Houston brewery announced that it will soon open 8th Wonder Distilling. A tipster tells Eater that the forthcoming distillery is set to land in EaDo, perhaps in the former Paul Revere Rum Distillery. The Paul Revere facility closed up shop last month with plans to reopen in a larger space, though no timeline for that move has been announced just yet.

With this move, Houston could be in the midst of a homegrown spirits boom. Earlier this year, Agricole Hospitality’s Morgan Weber announced that he would open Indianola Distilling (among other concepts) in EaDo. Spirits from Indianola, like peach brandy and Texas bourbon, are expected to debut on retail shelves and behind the bar sometime early next year. Also in the works for EaDo is an Our/Vodka distillery, which is currently under construction.

No word yet on when 8th Wonder Distilling will make its debut. In the meantime, lushes will have to make do with all the beer at the 8th Wonder’s EaDo brewery.
