Houston restaurateur Tilman Fertitta’s 38-story tower in the Galleria and Uptown area is going to be extra luxurious. When the development opens in 2018, it will boast a hotel, residential units, and a Bugatti dealership (the only one in Houston).
The Post Oak Hotel at Uptown Houston’s flagship restaurant will be an outpost of Mastro's Steakhouse, the upscale steakhouse with locations across the country including D.C. and Beverly Hills. This will be Texas’s only Mastro’s.
Other restaurants look to be moving in too, as spotted by HoustonArchitecture.com who noticed help wanted ads for the properties. Job ads showed openings at three restaurants in the development (the job ads have been removed now) :
Craft F&B: Wood-fired pizzas and comfort food will be served this restaurant with “a vast selection of craft brews.” The job ad says Craft F&B’s decor will include rich woods, exposed brick, stained concrete floors, and high-table communal-style seating.
Bloom & Bee: A fine dining restaurant with “an elaborate ceiling of blown glass flowers” and an outdoor patio. The decor is inspired by garden blooms, and local, sustainable ingredients will be on the pasta-heavy menu.
H Bar: A cocktail bar with “crimson velvet accents, vintage aesthetic lighting and black-and-white photographic art.”
Bouchée Patisserie: The bakery will sell bonbons, cakes, gelato, quiches, chocolates, and specialty coffee.
