Buffalo Bayou Brewing Company, one of Houston's essential breweries, is planning a new headquarters that is absolutely massive. The brewery is moving over to Sawyer Yards, with a new 28,258-square-foot, three-story space set to open at the end of 2018. It’s going to be capable of brewing 10 times what Buffalo Bayou brewed last year — and it will have a restaurant too.

There’s a virtual tour posted with renderings on Buffalo Bayou’s blog, walking through all three floors. There’s the brew floor, which is designed as a “theater-in-the-round” type of experience so drinkers can see what the brewers are doing from anywhere in the space.

The second floor will have windows overlooking both downtown and the production floor. There will be a full-service kitchen with a 200-person taproom. Then the third floor will offer a party room and a big open-air rooftop patio.

"The party room exists because I’m a pretty princess and I wanted the most badass space for my birthday party (I suppose you can have your birthday party there too, I’m willing to share)," Buffalo Bayou founder and CEO Rassul Zarinfar writes in the blog post. "It has a private balcony that wraps around to the parking lot side, so you can watch the sunset in the West, and simultaneously see it reflecting off the Enron building."

Uh, is it too early to try to book a birthday party there? All told, the price tag for the new Buffalo Bayou Brewing Company facility reportedly rings in at $14 million, according to Houston Culturemap.
