Bellagreen, Houston’s “eco-conscious” fast-casual eatery, just opened its sixth location at Vintage Marketplace.
Boasting the title of Houston’s first Certified Green Restaurant™, the new location at 10111 Louetta Road features water-saving devices, alternate power sources and other unspecified “green practices.” Aesthetically, Bellagreen’s redesign highlights its open kitchen and a dining area with weathered bronze, punched metal and repurposed decorative accents. It’s expected to hold around 80 people in the dining room, and another 60 on the patio.
Rebranded from the former Ruggles Green, the restaurant attempts to cater to diners’ wide range of dietary restrictions by offering gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegetarian options. High-protein “hempanadas” and quinoa mac & cheese are just two dishes on Bellagreen’s menu that use alternative ingredients. Notably, all of the salads, pizzas, and pasta dishes on Bellagreen’s menu can be made gluten-free.
“The new prototype at Vintage Marketplace will offer our guests a more premium dining experience,” Jason Morgan, CEO of Bellagreen says in a press release. “Our rebranding was launched to reflect our core value of creating beautiful food while striving to make the world a more beautiful place.”
The eatery is also offering catering at each of its locations and plans to expand into the Dallas market in early 2018. Bellagreen at Vintage Marketplace is open from Sun through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. (hours vary by location).
