Allset, a new mobile application set to launch in Houston next week, will allow diners to enjoy some of the city’s hottest restaurants without waiting for a table.
Here’s how it works: After downloading the app, Allset allows diners to choose a restaurant, order a meal from the menu, and pay before even walking out the door to the restaurant. Upon arrival, wait times are, according to the app’s founders, virtually nonexistent, and food is served minutes after arrival. Allset also allows groups to make reservations and split the check before dinner even arrives. The app also takes care of the check, so diners using Allset can just leave whenever they’re finished.
Allset also claims that it makes things easier for restaurants, increasing efficiency and making table turnover go more quickly. “We decided to make the restaurant dining experience more convenient and easily accessible for busy restaurant lovers,” Allset CEO Stas Matviyenko said in a statement. The app already operates in more than 800 restaurants across 9 cities: San Francisco, Palo Alto, New York, Chicago, Boston, Austin, Seattle, Los Angeles, and San Jose, with more planned for 2018.
Allset will make its Houston debut on December 14, at which time Space City diners can determine whether or not it’s a solid addition to other dining applications like Postmates and OpenTable.
