Luv Me Tenders’ Brick And Mortar Shutters

No need to panic — the food truck lives on

This chicken wall mural will tragically be no more

Last July, the Luv Me Tenders food truck team set up a more permanent chicken hub in the Treadsack Test Kitchen at Crosstimbers and Yale. Unfortunately, less than a year later, their chicken shop dreams have come to an end.

Luv Me Tenders announced via Facebook this week that it will return to a truck only operation. The chicken vendor says that owner Jason “Big Sexy” Hill was faced with signing a five year lease in its space, and just wasn’t confident enough in the shop’s long term viability to sign.

Have no fear — Luv Me Tenders is not gone for good. The truck will still be around to serve up chicken tenders in all forms, including their famous rotating specials like the 9th Ward Quesadilla, filled with tenders, cheese, and hot Cheetos.

You’ll be able to get your hands on their chicken from UberEATS, DoorDash, or straight from their food truck by Sassafras bar on Pinemont. They’ll also be altering the food truck hours to stay open longer in order to provide even more delicious fried chicken to the masses.
