At present, Houston is already home to a number of pretty great places to find perfect, freshly baked pastry. Soon, though, one of the world’s most popular bakeries will throw its hat into this already competitive ring.

According to a new business listing, a hawk-eyed Yelper noticed that temporary signage is up at 9750 Bellaire Boulevard announcing the impending arrival of 85C Bakery, a Taiwanese sweet shop that has a cult-like following for its breads, pastries, and other baked delights. This marks the chain’s second expansion within Texas, following last year’s opening of 85C Bakery in a Dallas suburb.

For the uninitiated, 85C Bakery serves up a massive menu of treats and drinks that can be enjoyed in the shop, or taken away to be eaten later. Its signature breads and pastries (like pillowy soft milk bread and rolls stuffed with sweet bean paste) are so impressive, in fact, that 85C’s grand openings are frequently met with hours-long lines and a great deal of hype.

Eater has reached out to 85C Bakery for more details on when it will make it debut in Chinatown. Stay tuned for an official opening date.
