After more than a year in the works, Chef Jamie Zelko will soon debut her new garden-inspired eatery, The Ivy & James.

Announced via release, the casual cafe will make its debut at Evelyn’s Park in Bellaire later this spring. The restaurant will serve a menu of grab & go options for those in a hurry, along with full breakfast, lunch, and dinner service. On the weekends, (Thursday-Saturday) Zelko will host two seatings of a prix-fixe dinner made with ingredients from the restaurant’s adjacent garden.

Most excitingly, diners will also be able to snag picnic baskets that can be taken away and enjoyed under the trees in Evelyn’s Park. It’s a decidedly more serene setting than Zelko’s last endeavor, which ended in a nasty dispute with the chef’s former landlord, culminating with a lawsuit.

The Ivy & James will make its debut on May 1, just days after Evelyn’s Park opens to the public on April 22.
