Despite that Beyoncé reps H-Town harder than anyone else, it’s unlikely that you’re going to catch the queen in Houston unless she’s in town for a show now that she’s the most famous person on the planet. Fortunately, a new Houston coffee shop will give the BeyHive a new place to congregate that is sort of connected to the star.
Via his Instagram account, Pastor Rudy Rasmus (who serves as spiritual advisor to both Beyoncé and Solange Knowles) announced that he will open ThroughGood Coffee at 732 West 27th. The spot will be more than just a caffeination station, evidenced by its commitment to “changing lives through good coffee.”
Scope out Rasmus’ post from the new coffee shop below:
It’s unclear how exactly the coffee shop will contribute to charitable causes, but it’s likely that ThroughGood is an extension of Rasmus’ work in eradicating homelessness, fighting HIV, and helping formerly incarcerated men and women readjust to life outside of prison.
ThroughGood Coffee is set to open its doors on April 15. As the ‘gram above indicates, the new coffee shop has already earned an early stamp of approval from the Queen Mother, Ms. Tina Lawson. That’s all anyone really needs to know.
