EaDo’s dining scene is rapidly ramping up, and a brand new eatery planned by two Clutch City locals will soon bring a cozy vibe to the growing neighborhood.
The Houston Business Journal reports that the tentatively-named Nancy’s Hustle will open its doors at 2704 Polk in EaDo later this year. The restaurant is a project of former Hay Merchant general manager (and current Public Services GM) Sean Jensen, and Chicago’s chef Jason Vaughan, and will bring a “wine bar and neighborhood feel” to the area.
The restaurant’s unique moniker takes inspiration from the fictional Nancy’s Diner in Mad Max and Houston’s own reputation as “Hustle Town.” "We've talked about opening something for a good eight to 10 years now," Jensen told the Journal. "I'm super excited to bring some of (Vaughan's) food to Houston."
No word yet on when exactly Nancy’s Hustle will make its debut.
