Via his social media channels, Austin chef Paul Qui has been thinking out loud about his plans for Aqui, the Houston restaurant that he’ll open in Montrose later this year. He’s already shared a few details for the tasting menu that will be on offer at Aqui, but now Qui has provided an even deeper look into what he’s planning to bring to Clutch City.

On his Instagram account, Qui shared a snap of the tasting menu he’s currently working on for Aqui, and it looks pretty impressive. As predicted, the menu is in keeping with Qui’s blend of Japanese-Filipino cooking, featuring dishes like a maiz con yelo (a sweet corn treat popular in the Phillipines) spruced up with fresh, briny uni.

No word yet on what the 14-course feast will set you back, but it’s likely that this restaurant won’t be described as “budget-friendly.” An official opening timeline for Aqui has not yet been announced, but look for the restaurant to make its debut at 520 Westheimer in “late spring or early summer.”
