Popular Houston Eatery La Vista Is On The Move

It’s bye-bye to BYOB at the new Lazybrook/Timbergrove location

At the new location, you won’t have to bring your own wine to fill those glasses

In November, owner Greg Gordon announced that Briargrove fave La Vista was headed to new digs after more than 20 years. Now, we’ve finally got some intel on where the restaurant is going to land.

CultureMap reports that La Vista’s new home will occupy a space at 1805 W. 18th Street in the Lazybrook/Timbergrove area. The new location will give Gordon a completely customizable 3,000 square feet of free-standing space to work with, along with an outdoor area that will soon be transformed into La Vista’s brand new patio.

Once it’s moved to its new home on 18th, La Vista will feature a new, more modern menu, with menu items categorized by the kind of fuel used to cook the food, including coal, wood, and smoke. The restaurant will also obtain a full liquor license, which unfortunately means ditching the BYOB option available at La Vista’s former home.

La Vista’s current location will shutter in May, but Gordon hopes to have the new location up and running within six months of closing the doors.
