Blockhouse Coffee & Kitchen Brings Locally-Sourced Bites and Brew to the ‘Burbs

Richmond’s newest coffee house has arrived

A bright, new community hub
Blackhouse Coffee & Kitchen

For Houstonians who commute into the city from the suburbs, caffeine is essential. Fortunately, a new shop in Richmond’s Historic District now offers a brand new spot to fuel up before a long day.

Announced via release, Blockhouse Coffee & Kitchen has opened at 611 Jackson Street. For this concept, owners Cody and Aimee Frederick took inspiration from the West Coast’s community-oriented coffee shops, and instead of moving west to enjoy them, they’ve opened one in their hometown.

In addition to a selection of coffee drinks and teas, the new shop serves locally-made wares from The Kombucha Company, Texas Pickle Company, Mon Chou Sweets, and more. Sip a hand-poured coffee for two from Fort Bend Coffee Roasters or grab a cup of Honey Child’s Sweet Cream ice cream for a seriously sweet finish.

Blockhouse Coffee & Kitchen is now officially open for business. As such, suburbanites will be able to get their caffeine fix from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the weekdays and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the weekends.
