On Friday, Eater reported that Better Luck Tomorrow had quietly kicked open its doors to put the finishing touches on service before making its official debut this week. Now we’ve got an early glimpse at what the menu at the new “bar with food” is going to look like.
The bar menu, crafted by Bobby Heugel and his crack team of mixologists, features a lengthy list of inventive libations along with a well-curated list of beer and wine. The cocktails on the menu are frequently riffs on old-school drinks, like the Cold Fashioned (mixed with bourbon, rum, brandy, and bitters) and the Salty Cat (mixed with grapefruit, gin, plum, and salt).
As far as the food is concerned, Chef Justin Yu’s selection of bar snacks is decidedly more interesting than your typical nachos and burgers. Look forward to oysters marinated in chile vinegar, crispy fried chicken, and the “party melt,” a sandwich made with a layer of crispy parmesan cheese on the outside that you’re definitely going to want to try.
Better Luck Tomorrow officially opens for business on Wednesday, May 3. In the meantime, check out the menu for the Heights’ hottest new spot for drinks & snacks below.
