In The Midst Of Financial And Legal Drama, Treadsack’s Chefs Are Jumping Ship

Bernadine’s chef Graham Laborde is just the latest

After months of drama and uncertainty, one thing is for sure for Treadsack Restaurants: the beleaguered ownership group is currently hemorrhaging talent.

Graham Laborde, former executive chef at Bernadine’s, is the latest Treadsack chef to jump ship, CultureMap reports. Laborde recently accepted a new gig with Killen’s Restaurants, where he will oversee Ronnie Killen’s impending restaurant expansion and develop menu items for STQ and Killen’s Steakhouse.

The closure of Foreign Correspondents last year, which came immediately after chefs PJ and Apple Stoops departed the restaurant, kicked off Treadsack’s talent drain as the personal drama and financial woes behind the scene landed the restaurant group in court and dominated the headlines. Before Laborde’s departure, Hunky Dory chef Richard Knight left the restaurant group back in January.

Treadsack has not yet announced who will replace Laborde at Bernadine’s, but the chef will stick around for the next “two weeks or so” to ease the transition.
