— After making its Houston debut in 2016, Austin-based juice chain JuiceLand is looking to expand in Space City. Details are scarce as of yet, but a tweet from JuiceLand’s Twitter account indicates that the health-obsessed juice bar is looking to expand to at least two new Houston locations, perhaps Montrose and Kirby. Earlier, Houstonia reported that JuiceLand would open at 1340 Westheimer, though no opening date has been set yet. [Houstonia]
— Popular pastry spot Kolache Shoppe is also planning to expand. A press release announces that it will head to Heights Central Station, the new mixed-use property that’s currently under construction at 1050 Yale. The Heights outpost of Kolache Shoppe is expected to debut in Summer 2018. [EaterWire]
— Roka Akor, the much-anticipated Japanese steakhouse and sushi spot opening in River Oaks next week, is currently accepting reservations via OpenTable. Expect for these tables to go quickly, especially during primetime dining hours. [EaterWire]
— Cane Rosso’s Montrose location has officially introduced its new brunch menu, crafted by Houston’s own Chef Jonathan Jones. Look for dishes like baked eggs sauced with spicy salsa verde, fire-roasted sweet potato hash, and a breakfast pizza topped with sausage and ghost pepper guanciale. Brunch is served on Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. [EaterWire]
UPDATE: This post has been updated to reflect the address for JuiceLand’s Montrose location, as previously reported by Houstonia.
