Next year, FreeRange Concepts will bring The Rustic, a music and booze-fueled spot from the minds behind Bowl & Barrel, to Downtown Houston.

The first outpost of The Rustic opened in Dallas in 2013, and now the second will debut in Houston at 1836 Polk Street sometime next year. In addition to being a full-service restaurant, The Rustic also serves as an outdoor music venue and bustling bar, complete with 40 beers on tap and plenty of spirits from Texas and beyond.

The restaurant will occupy 25,000 square feet of space, complete with an outdoor stage and large patio with retractable roof, VIP areas near the stage, whatever an “Uber Lounge” is, and a u-shaped bar decorated with an American flag made out of beer cans. In Dallas, the venue has hosted a number of national and regional music acts, including Texas’ own Kacey Musgraves and The Rustic investor Pat Green.

The Rustic is set to make its debut in Houston in “early summer 2018.” Stay tuned for updates as this project progresses.
