After closing the doors to his newly-opened Night Market to make major tweaks, restaurateur Mike Tran could be ready to re-open the curry house as soon as next month.
An update to the restaurant’s Yelp page, which is currently marked “closed temporarily,” announces that it is scheduled to re-open on July 3. Originally opened in December of last year to a great deal of fanfare, Night Market closed in April to “make revisions to [its] kitchen and menu,” per a Facebook post. What those revisions are, exactly, is unclear. Especially considering that early reviews of the spot seemed to be overwhelmingly positive.
In the meantime, Tran worked on opening Ohn Korean Eatery, the spot that’s in the same strip mall as Night Market and his Cantonese restaurant Mein. Ohn just kicked open the doors on May 31, which means that if this plan stays on track, Tran will tackle two restaurant openings in as many months.
Eater has reached out to Tran to confirm the July 3 re-opening date for Night Market. Stay tuned for more details.
