Next week, Chef Bryan Caswell’s much-anticipated Oxbow7 will officially make its Houston debut.
Alongside his wife Jennifer, Caswell is putting the finishing touches on the swanky new eatery that will open inside Downtown Houston’s new Le Meridien hotel, reports CultureMap. According to Caswell, the restaurant will focus on refining the flavors of the Gulf, or as he puts it, “everything east of Houston and west of Mobile.”
Caswell has recruited Michael Hoffman, whose worked under both Robert Del Grande and Mark Cox, to serve as the restaurant’s chef de cuisine. As far as the food is concerned, both Caswell and Hoffman have stayed mum on any specific dishes that will be on the menu, but diners can look forward to a pretty exciting selection of sweet and savory pastries from Chef Sarah Schnitzer, a former Pax Americana pastry chef who will serve as sous chef under Hoffman along with preparing baked goods for the hotel.
Oxbow7 is set to open on Tuesday, August 29. Eater has reached out for more details on the restaurant’s hours of operation and how to make reservations.
