As of today, the restaurant formerly known as Ruggles Green officially has a brand new name: Bellagreen.

The Houston-based chain announced the name change alongside a new location that is expected to open later this fall in Vintage Marketplace. The five currently-open outposts of Ruggles Green will be renamed and revamped throughout the next few months, with the full rebrand expected to be completed by the end of the year.

The switcheroo for Ruggles Green was likely inspired by a smattering of negative press related to its former owner, Chef Bruce Molzan. Back in April, Molzan was hit with more than 200 citations by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department for allegedly buying and selling illegally-procured fish. Molzan sold the restaurant to its current owners last year, and they insisted at the time that improperly sourced seafood was not served at Ruggles Green after the sale.

Bellagreen is expected to make its debut in Vintage Marketplace in early October.
