A Man and His Dog Stole Booze From Montrose Restaurant as Harvey Hit Houston

The suspect also cooked himself some shrimp

As most Houstonians were hunkering down and preparing for Harvey, one man broke into the Max’s Wine Dive in Montrose to steal liquor, and brought his dog along as an accomplice.

The thief hit the Montrose restaurant just as it was closing early on August 26, right as Harvey’s heaviest rains began to flood the city, reports Click2Houston. The restaurant’s surveillance cameras took video of the as-yet-unidentified man stealing more than 30 bottles of top-shelf liquor, random food items from the kitchen (including shrimp and sausage patties) and causing more than $3500 in damage to the building at 214 Fairview Street.

While all this is going on, the man’s small dog wanders the restaurant. Check out this video of the robbery, complete with a shot of the furry accomplice:

Police are still searching for the thief, and tipsters who recognize the man (or his dog!) are encouraged to contact Crime Stoppers.
